Get to know the pelicans, schools of fish, and the occasional stingray or turtle by taking the villa’s snorkeling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards out for a spin. Back on the beach, start a game of beach tennis or volleyball or take a few laps of the heated swimming pool. Ask the chef to serve dinner at the alfresco dining area on the second-story deck, then head to the rooftop terrace to watch the sunset. A recent renovation made this villa a modern take on the beach house—and gave it a little European flair. Stone walls and wood paneling echo the rock-dotted coast and native trees outside. Natural tones in the great room’s living and dining areas, plus a driftwood-hewn fixture over the breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen, bring the beach indoors.
